The Challenge
A private client needed to run several M-Pesa paybills from one place — in effect, a custom version of the M-Pesa Business app. They wanted to make STK Push, C2B, B2C and Pochi payments across every paybill, keep each paybill's records cleanly separated, and see at a glance which app or paybill each incoming C2B payment came from.
What I Built
I built a multi-paybill payments dashboard with strict per-paybill record separation and full M-Pesa operation support — STK Push, C2B, B2C and Pochi. Because it moves real money, it's built to a bank-grade security bar: transaction records and credentials are encrypted, secret keys live server-side and stay inaccessible even if the database is breached, staff get role-based accounts locked out of critical actions, and admins can see every active session across devices, revoke access remotely, and receive real-time alerts on suspicious activity.

Built With
The bar was trust. Two things had to be airtight: transaction-record accuracy with complete data isolation between paybills, and security strong enough that the system holds to the same standard as the M-Pesa Business app it was modeled on — encrypted records and credentials, server-side secret keys that stay hidden even on a database breach, cross-device session control, and real-time breach alerting.
